Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By accessing or using the website lafayetteinsulation.com (the "Site") or by requesting, scheduling, or receiving any services from Lafayette Insulation ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use this Site or our services.
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our Site or services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Lafayette Insulation provides residential and commercial insulation services, including but not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, basement insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, insulation removal, and related services in Lafayette, Indiana and surrounding areas.
All services are subject to a site visit and written estimate prior to scheduling. We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.
Free on-site estimates are provided without obligation. All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing. Estimates are based on conditions observed at the time of the site visit. If additional issues are discovered once work begins - such as pre-existing damage, moisture problems, or access obstacles not visible during the estimate - we will notify you before proceeding with any work that would affect the quoted price.
Final pricing is confirmed in a written agreement signed by both parties before work begins. Verbal quotes are not binding and do not constitute a contract.
Once a project is scheduled, we ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel. We understand that circumstances change and will make every reasonable effort to accommodate rescheduling requests.
In the event that we need to reschedule due to weather, equipment issues, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternate date. We do not charge a cancellation fee for residential customers who provide reasonable advance notice.
For spray foam insulation projects, you will be required to vacate the property for at least 24 hours following application. This is a safety requirement, not a preference. Your project agreement will specify the required re-entry window.
Payment terms are specified in your written project agreement. For most residential projects, payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. We do not accept cryptocurrency.
For larger commercial projects, we may require a deposit prior to scheduling. Deposit amounts and due dates will be specified in the written agreement.
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, or the maximum amount permitted by Indiana law, whichever is less.
You are responsible for ensuring that work areas are reasonably accessible before our crew arrives. This includes clearing stored items from attics, crawl spaces, and basements as directed. If an area is not accessible and we cannot complete the scheduled work, we reserve the right to charge for the crew time incurred.
For spray foam projects, you are responsible for vacating the property - including all people and pets - for the full re-entry window specified in your project agreement. We are not liable for health issues arising from a failure to follow re-entry instructions.
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with the workmanship on your project, contact us within 30 days of completion and we will return to inspect and, if warranted, correct the issue at no charge.
This workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by events outside our control, including water intrusion from roof leaks or plumbing failures, pest damage, structural movement, or modifications made to the insulated areas by you or another contractor after our work is completed.
Manufacturer warranties on specific insulation materials, where applicable, are passed through to you. Details of any manufacturer warranties will be provided in your project documentation.
To the fullest extent permitted by Indiana law, Lafayette Insulation's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to our services or this agreement shall not exceed the total amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost income, lost profits, or damage to property not directly caused by our work. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental damages, so these limitations may not apply to you in full.

If a dispute arises between you and Lafayette Insulation that cannot be resolved through direct communication, both parties agree to attempt good-faith mediation before pursuing any other legal remedy. If mediation fails to resolve the dispute, the parties may pursue resolution in the courts of Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
